I have been trying to get better error messages and found this that may provide a cure:
cnc1.hal:5: Realtime module 'hostmot2' loaded stat: No such file or directory cnc1.hal:7: insmod failed, returned -1: do_load_cmd: dlopen: hm2-eth.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory It looks like the file name "hm2-eth.so" that it is looking for is wrong. I believe that it should be "hm2_eth.so" since there is a file by that name.
