After looking at it I wonder if it is not just the 8i20 portion of SSerial code has issues. I'm sort of at a loss as I'm not really sure what I'm seeing. Like I said, if you want I can whip you up a board and send it to you on the next run if you want to debug this further. I just don't want to give you bad info since I'm not totally sure I understand why I'm getting the results I'm getting.
