Thanks Jason. Following another thread I finally put
those notions together and came up with what you were
probably driving at all along.

My ISP is Rogers@home in Toronto, a cable ISP. The cable
comes into the house to a Terayon modem and passes through a
Farallon transceiver into the AAUI socket at the back of the
Powermac. I imagine it would be best to connect the two
computers via a second ethernet card installed in the primary
computer plus a crossover cable and a second transceiver
plugging into the AAUI socket at the back of either Quadra.
I also have an Asante ethernet to SCSI adapter
somewhere. I wonder if a connection could be established
that way?
No time to do more tonight. Tomorrow is another day.
Regards, John.
