I have not used Etherprint, but there is supposed to be some oddity in the SC600 and older Epson printers that prevents normal "printer sharing" via Appletalk. Don't know if using the parallel port circumvents this, but...
I tried out a shareware application, EpsonShare_1.5.1_US, and managed to share the SC600 via Appletalk over an ethernet network. A bit on the slow side, but it did work.
