Richard,

I'm using the Linksys WRT54G with Belkin F5D7000
wireless PCI cards in both my PC and older Macs at
home. I'm also using a G4 PB with a built in Airport
card successfully on this network. An Airport Express
attached to my stero also works on the network.

The Linksys router works very well and is available
from several places for $40 after rebates. If you
want more info on this setup email me off line.

That being said, if I was in your shoes, I'd be very,
very conservative about implementing wireless in a
business environment. While it eliminates the cables,
it brings up other issues - security. So, here's my
advise, if your Macs are Airport card ready, go with
an all Apple Airport setup. It will cost you more,
but your security (WPA/MAC) will work. (Note: MAC
filtering refers to the Ethernet chipset unique ID
number in Hex. Again, email off line for more info.)
The Airport products all work together. Mixing one
manufacturer's products with another can be a headache
and cost you more in the long run - mainly, technical
help.

Finally, any wireless network for business purposes
needs to have the appropriate security turned on.
While wireless WPA security is getting robust, we
don't use wireless in our offices in the Dept. of
Defense, even for routine, unclassified stuff. So,
wirless gets rid of the cables, but there is baggage
that comes with it, especially for businesses.

Hope this helps,
