Donna, IPv6 is an automatic extension if the configuration is left a lone. You can ignore it.
I did not catch all the previous exchange and hope this is not a duplication, but sometimes the network preferences get corrupted. Just creating a new one from scratch sometimes solves the problem. To create a new network location: Go to "System Preferences" ... Select "Network" ... Select the "Location" Menu ... Select "New Location" ... Give it a different Name ... Select "TCP/IP" ... Set "Configure IPv4" to "using DHCP" ... Then click "Apply" ... Then Logoff & on or restart the computer. Then Login & test only the web browser first. Hope this helps.
