I'm stuck with a dial-up connection for the forseeable future. I'd like to set up a home network so that each computer can get to the net (and share printers, etc, also). What are some wired (not wireless) firewall/routers that have a modem or modem port that folks have used and found good with Macs?

Thanks,

Bob

The Airport Extreme Base Station (the flying saucer-like model) will work just fine for this.
It's easy to set up, too, using the Airport Setup Assistant.
It will also host USB printers for the machines on your LAN.
It also supports AppleTalk traffic.
