I'm trying to make use of a low-power-consumption model, such as the 6300 series that also supports large IDE drives (128MB max per partition?). So running OS X is not an option here. I'll definitely use Ethernet (PCI 100-T would be even better), so it should meet my needs well into the future. Looks like OS 9 (AppleShare IP) will provide acceptable disk-mounting over the network on the OS X machines, and the long file name issue should be a moot point (please see my other message about this one). Yea! Now I just need time to set this up... Thank you all, Jay -- MacNetwork is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... XRouter Pro | Share your DSL or cable modem between multiple computers!
