I'm trying to make use of a low-power-consumption model, such as the 6300
series that also supports large IDE drives (128MB max per partition?). So
running OS X is not an option here. I'll definitely use Ethernet (PCI 100-T
would be even better), so it should meet my needs well into the future.

Looks like OS 9 (AppleShare IP) will provide acceptable disk-mounting over
the network on the OS X machines, and the long file name issue should be a
moot point (please see my other message about this one). Yea!

Now I just need time to set this up...
