I'll bite: what is this assertion based on? AFAIK, B&W Macs don't suffer from any serious reliability problems, esp. if they've been around for this long. I mean, the fact that the beige machines are older would seem to indicate that you would be replacing them sooner than a B&W. If there are B&W shortcomings, please tell me what they are.
