HOB serves the Mac right
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac

Run Windoze apps and print from them using this Java-based product
HOB, a German software maker, has updated HOBLink JWT, which lets Mac users take
advantage of Windows applications served from a Windows 2000 or Windows XP
Professional server.
According to Macworld UK report, this latest revision introduces OS X support, as well
as provides flexibility in printing from Windows applications running on Windows 2000
Terminal Servers from any version of the Mac OS.
Patrick Oliver Graf, international sales director, HOB, told Macworld UK, HOBLink JWT
is a Java-connectivity state-of-the-art product that truly links together the
Microsoft Windows and Macintosh world.
HOBLink JWT permits multi-user and multi-platform access to centralized Windows
applications. It''s been designed specifically for Mac users to put Macs on an equal
footing with Windoze client terminals.
The Macworld UK report states that HOB will be exhibiting Link JWT at Macworld Expo
next week. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Analysis: I''ve been around the Macintosh block more than once and find it odd I''ve
never heard of this solution before. With all of the functionality it provides and how
well it probably performs under OS X, which offers the industry''s best implementation
of Java, we''ll likely be hearing more about this solution going forward.
