Google said it, so it must be true

Macs originated 5% of the searches on the benchmark search site

For those searching for the Mac's real market share, Google is probably one of the
first places to start looking. However, the company itself has shed some on this
perenially thorny issue with its latest edition of its Zeitgeist statistics page.

According to the Zeitgeist page, those using Macs initiated 5 percent of all searches
on Google, which according to one source is the first time ever the "beleaguered
platform" has surpassed 4 percent since such statistics have been compiled.

In relative terms, "we" account for five times more searches than Linux users and 25
percent more searches than Windoze 95 sufferers. On the other hand, those afflicted
with 'doze 98 account for 42 percent.

Well, at least we're coming up in the world.
