NisusWriter Goes Cocoa With X
By Remy Davison, Insanely Great Mac
November 8th 2002
Major new features, sneak peek from Nisus.
Nisus is giving us a 'sneak peek' at its upcoming NisusWriter for OS X.
And, unlike the carbonized Microsoft Office, NisusWriter is being rewritten from the
ground up in pure Cocoa. Nisus plan to retain the wide capabilities of version 6.5,
plus a slew of new features, including:
 A redesigned, user friendly interface
An even more powerful find and replace tool
 A rewritten macro capability
 Zoom in, Zoom out function
Open any RTF, RTFD, or Text file
 Support for Unicode, UTF-8
 Plain Text View (Draft View)
 Document View (Page View)
 Headers and Footers
 Non-Contiguous selection
 Real time word count
 Check spelling as you type
 Line Numbering
 Preferences for Default Font
 Automatic page and section numbers
 Classic Nisus File Format support
Nisus are also looking for feature suggestions. You can mail them
