iDVD 2.1 hits the streets
By ron carlson, Insanely Great Mac

Another pre-MWSF iApp update is ready for download

Apple has released a freeupdate for its consumer DVD-authoring program, iDVD. Released
over the weekend, the update adds support for DVD-ROM data and AppleScript, as well as
enhancements to the DVD burning process and burnished performance.

iDVD is only the latest iApp update -- here and here -- ahead of Macworld San
Francisco where Apple is expected to announce plans to charge up to $50 for a iPhoto,
iMovie and iDVD bundle.

Given Apple's previous pre-Macworld behavior, or lack thereof, it can be inferred that
something is in the air for the company's popular iApp product line.
