If I was a top poster & I needed Dan's help & advice, I'd probably heed your advice. Last I checked, this is a public list, not Dan Shoop list. And why does a public list have to conform to any one person's preference? I have a lot of respect for Dan's expertise but that doesn't mean he can or should dictate the rules of a public list, even if he's suffering from the alleged condition that you described. If top postings bother Dan so much, why can't he just ignore them? Or set up filtering rules to junk them. Replies with UPPERCASE & an attitude certain would get on nerves, as they already have so many times before AND on so many lists. Dan should do any of the followings: 1. Let all top posters know whenever they post, that if they expect his response, do it according to his style liking, in a nicer way. 2. Start a Dan Shoop list with his own rules. I'm sure he'll have quite a following. (I'll definitely be one!) Not many can understand or like his outbursts. Maybe it's Dan who should work on things. Thing is, this statement insults top posters as much as it insults Dan the man, for his inability to have the average level of tolerance for them. I'm sure glad that I can tolerate all these. :) -- Regards, ../Hanx
