i am running 10.6 on my minimac-dvr, and 10.4 on my ppc laptops, and am running
into problems accessing an nfs mounted filesystem on linux (fc7...i'm in the
process of updating to fc12)
on 10.6, i drag&drop a file from the local hdd to my nfs mount, & it gives me a
copy error: "operation can't be completed because 1 or more items can't be found
(e.c -43)"
however, the file is successfully copied, & is fully functional (finder displays
preview, even plays a movie preview).
i try to d&d a file from the nfs mount to an open app's dock icon, & i get: "the
app [the smultron editor] can't be opened. -120"
if i d&d the same file into smultron's open file pane, it opens ok...
and on 10.4, editing a textfile, cutting lines, then saving to the nfs mount,
results in garbage @ the end...not sure if it's smultron's problem or osX's...
