That is a very asinine and insulting remark.
No, it isn't. I don't know how you can be insulted by the reference to
Noah Webster's first revision of his dictionary. Those spellings (and
others, like "Bred" for "Bread") were chopped out.

It is insulting in the context you made the reference. You are implying that I am using a very old and out of date dictionary. You also said I may need a newer dictionary. As a follow up to that comment your statement is very insulting.

Read your history before you decide to be insulted by something that's
patently not insulting.

I know the history. You comment is still blatantly insulting.
