Acrobat is on its own schedule and Acrobat Pro 10 will be released some time after CS5; could be six months or a year, no way to be certain; version 8 should get security updates until then

you are wise to be cautious of security issues with Acrobat; i think the safest method is to use Preview (or as a 2nd choice an up-to-date Adobe Reader) for everyday PDF viewing; only use Acrobat Pro when you need it; that way you won't be opening many untrusted PDFs in the older *or* the current version of Acrobat
