Mac Mini, OSX 10.5.8
Since today, I observe a strange behaviour of ALL of the .txt or .rtf
file: when doubleclicking (or pressing cmd-O in Finder, Textedit does
not activate, if it is not already opened.
I did all the usual repair and maintenance work (rebuilding launch,
whatis, locate, prebindings), deleted all caches, temp files and the
relevant pref file (well, all the stuff, Xupport, Onyx and MainMenu
offers), checked access rights and so on....with no result.
I changed the default app to Beans: Beans opens correctly any file. I
changed back to TextEdit: nothing!
To be clear: that only happens when Textedit is not already running.
When it is running, all things behave normal.
Any hints?
