Clever is understanding it :-).
Lets see. If you are not looking at the header line, then first do
nothing; then, do a null substitution; then change the ': ' into an
assignment, then change ... ¿the end of the line? into nothing; then
put in underscores for any remaining space or dash. Finally, do
nothing again.
How much of that did I not understand?
Oh: The syntax of "/pattern/{command;command;command}" is a nice touch
that I didn't know about.
