Nope! The app suite looks abandoned, at least for the Mac: Pages, > Keynote, Numbers all are stuck at '09. Can anyone confirm this?
The most recent update to Pages and Numbers was in the summer last year for Lion, and there was an update to Keynote in December. <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4684?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US> '09 is the current version of iWork. There are strong hints that OS X 10.8 will reveal new versions of the iWork apps since 10.8's preview showed a much tighter integration of iCloud into the OS. Obvisluly, the iWork apps would need to be updated to take advantage of that. > Is there a good, modern, working alternative to Word? OpenOffice? I use Pages and an quite happy with it. It's a lot more stable than Word. I think the failure of OOo and variants is they are trying too hard to be exact clones of MS Office. If I wanted MS Office, I'd use MS Office. Obviously, I don't want that, so an exact clone of it to me just sucks. -- "You're an elf and you're going to wear panties like an elf." _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
