Hi All,

I'm not a very happy camper. I diligently backup our iPad every month (at
least) and archive the backups to TM. It seemed to work fine ... no errors etc.

Now when I have had to restore the iPad it is failing.

> ERROR: Restore message response: 102 mkdir error: No such file or directory
> (2) at path
> "/var/mobile/Library/SafeHarbor/com.omnigroup.OmniGraffle/Container/Documents/Site
> Wireframe & Mockup.graffle/QuickLook" (MBErrorDomain/102)

I go back many months and each attempt to restore that backup fails with this
error.

Obviously, it looks like, for some reason, it can't make a directory at this
location because the path may not exist ... not my fault ...

The restore process seems very fragile, surely it should try and skip this
file, directory, or app and continue with a message to that effect?

I'd happily lose the OmniGraffle document or even all of the OmniGraffle
restore to get the other 99% of the backup back.

Any one have an idea of how to force the restore to complete / ignore this
error?

Any other possible solutions?

I've tried lots of things including, removing these files from the backup,
editing the backup plists and binary databases, full restore etc.

Would an Apple Store Genius have more tools to assist with this?

Any suggestions most appreciated.

I'm rather annoyed at this - we are going to lose a lot of state from the iPad
if we have to start from scratch (app files, state etc.) This is not good
enough IMHO.

Thanks for any ideas,
Ashley.
