Maybe you're right; although it seems like my Time Machine backups are taking a 
lot longer than they used to before we moved into the RV. I was using the same 
Airport Extreme and a different but still non gigabit switch…and was backing up 
to an iMac then vs a Mini now but overall a pretty similar setup.

I just did an initial backup of my /Users folder following a system rebuild; 
about 22 GB and it took 15 hours or so to finish…which seems longer than it 
used to be.
