I can't check my system right now, but this doesn't seem like wrong behavior.
Presumably when you start searching for something, you know what word you're looking for. I'm having a hard time thinking of a case where I'd want a search to match within a word instead of just the beginning. If you search for "he", do you really want every instance of "the" to be highlighted?
