Both of my Macs had this checkbox selected, and both of them updated 
automatically. My wife's Mac had this checkbox unselected, and hers did not 
update automatically; instead, it provided a seemingly standard notification 
that updates were available.

I plan to select the checkbox on my wife's Mac, because I agree that this is 
desirable behavior. If I'm away on business or whatever, I would like urgent 
updates to be installed on her Mac without waiting until my return.
