Wow. I am really surprised to see that from Brett. The sqlite vacuum command 
was a trick from long long ago the sometimes helped mail issues, but Mail 
automatically vacuums the database, so that trick is simply not needed. You 
will only see tiny changes in the size of the DB, if any. It used to be you 
could see reduction well over 50% in the size of the Envelope Index, and that 
just doesn’t happen any more.

Ah, looking at the page I see he is simply sharing an updated script, not 
claiming that the trick is still relevant.
