Yes, some people have, but it takes a slight bit of manual configuration
and it can't be done automatically with CPAN.pm. There should be some
messages posted to this list with the specific configuration bits.

It's pretty annoying when CPAN.pm tries to upgrade perl itself because
of some prerequisite version number or something. My opinion is that it
should never fetch & install perl without at least asking.
