Sometime in the future (hopefully soon), all mailing list managers will
follow the RFC which specifies these headers, among others:

List-Post: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
List-Help: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
List-Subscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

and all user mail programs will recognize them, and provide a nice way to
reply, subscribe, unsubscribe, etc.

Perhaps oddly, at least one of the Unix text-based mail programs--pine
(from U of Washington) already does.

Then this old argument will go away. NOT! But at least then a sensible
answer will be "upgrade your mail program and learn to use it".

Another telling reason: the other setting (replies go to list) combines
with various broken Mail Transfer Agents in the world to create mail
loops...which can get to several hundred or a few thousand messages--to all
the list members...before the right user(s) is(are) removed from the list.
