Yeah...same here. And I agree, I don't think this is common. As it seems to be consistent with perl 5.6.1 on Mac OS X, with the security update screwing with things. Just be sure that any reasons you may have installed 5.6.1 in the past don't apply still. You could lose the ability to use a module.
