Gday from down under everybody,

I'm having some troubles setting up my new Powerbook G4 as a development
machine.

I can get PHP going fine, but only with the pre-built version of apache
that comes with Mac OS X. This works fine on it's own.

I can then get mod_perl going fine as a DSO in the version of Apache.

But I can not get the libapreq stuff going on this version of apache. It
can only be done with following the intructions at
http://www.apache.org/~joes/. Which means I have to compile and install
a new version of Apache. Which I have done, and I can get mod_perl and
the libapreq stuff going fine if I do that, but then PHP wont work on
any other versions of Apache.

To be honest, I'm expecting a lot of replies saying that this is PHP's
fault and it's nothing to do with perl etc. But my question to the perl
list, is:

Is there a way to get the libapreq stuff (Apache::Request /
Apache::Cookie) to work on the plain Mac OS X version of Apache?

cheers
Danial Pearce
