Not sure how much difference it makes to prebind, but it seems to work fine for me without it. Load times are acceptable.

That's odd... I can't imagine what would be pulling in libcrypto, or using the crypt() function. Anyway, it should be relatively harmless - as you pointed out, load times aren't too bad. Warnings bother me out of principle, though... ;-)
