| thanks! I'll look into this in the event that a normal mailing list format
| ('normal' insofar as any other mailing list I've ever been involved with in
| the past) cannot be agreed upon to change to.

I agree that the way the list is configured is ridiculous. Not only is there this
crazy lack of Reply-To header but it is also possible to post to the list without
being subscribed! I often post by mistake from the wrong account and the message gets
through all the same.

In Eudora 3.1.1 and onwards you can put this script in the Scripts folder and run it
as a menu item that can also be assigned to a button, which can optionally be given a
function key shortcut. In other words in Eudora you can get round the problem with
one key-stroke.

          tell «class euMS» ""
            «event CSOmeRep» with «class eRAl»
set «class euFd» "to" to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
            set «class euFd» "cc" to ""
          end

On OE you can write a far more contorted sort of script to do the same thing and you
don't have the beauty of a button to run it, so you'd have to use the menu.

Experience over the years has taught me that if a list administrator can do something
silly for five days he can keep on doing it for five years.
