Absolutely. The "Mac, perl" source is being revised to more quickly adapt
to changes in the Perl distribution--i.e., to have a "mac" folder in the
main Perl dist that would enable compiling a new Perl on _some_
programming environment on a Mac, without waiting for a port.
It would be nice if you could submit patches to the list (perhaps the
MacPerl-porters list would be more appropriate?) to Carbonize MacPerl. If
I understand correctly, though, you may have to make broad decisions about
capabilities to ditch in order to Carbonize. Perhaps you could at least
post a summary of what absolutely wouldn't work, and what is relatively
easy to Carbonize. Thanks!
