Hello,

I realize that this is a bit off-topic for this mail list, but as it includes
MacPerl, but I thought that if anyone could help, they would be here.

I need to develop a GUI-based tool for use on both UNIX and Windows, and I
hope also on my Mac (since this is where I want to do the development).
It seems that Perl/Tk will fit the bill for the cross-platform reusability.
While experienced with Perl, I have not tried Perl/Tk. However, it looks
pretty straight forward.

>From looking back over the last 18 months of this list, and doing some web
searchs, I have found that there is a Macintosh Tcl/Tk port, and of course
MacPerl, my daily workhorse. There are, of course, also the pieces available
for Windows and UNIX.

While I have found some information for doing Perl and Tk GUI stuff under
UNIX and Windows, but there is very little to be found for the Mac. It seems
there is a large gap between the Tcl/Tk and the Perl domains in the Mac world.

Has anybody done this successfully with MacPerl?

Would anyone be willing to offer tips, caveats, etc., that would get me up to
speed quickly with this tri-platform project?

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Taylor
