Not really. However, CPAN.pm is not known to work. :) The difference
between the two being that cpan-mac is a distribution of modules and
utilities, and CPAN.pm is a module. The modules needed for CPAN.pm are all
there and working, except for one (the one to help with the Mac magic,
which I should have ready for the next version), and there are probably
some other bugs.
