Dear Chris, You're quite right and I stand guilty as accused. I should have reported on my experience because "feedback is king". Perhaps my example will help others to remember this important truth. Thanks for the great news on "Stop Script". For those who don't already know, the ability to stop a running script has been available from the MacPerl pull-down menu (and with keyboard equivalent cmd-.) but not through the Apple event interface.
