[MacPerl] Carbonized Perl?

Greetings,

I have awakened from a long slumber and have "acquired" a
new shiny G4 running MacOS X.

Is the new MacPerl 5.6.1 "Carbonized" or is this a pipe
dream...Running in classic mode can be aggravating.
