What, precisely, do you want out of a Carbon MacPerl?
The same reasons it says on the page: " It would be nice to, at some point, have the Toolbox modules (Mac::Windows, Mac::Events) Carbonized so the same GUI-based MacPerl programs would run on both platforms." ;) >Also, see a note about it on http://dev.macperl.org/. It would be nice to have a lot mac perl glue calls under OSX. Things like DoAppleScript can call osascript instead. I've always like the few minumal UI elements too. There is also a need (from my perspective) to have some bridging between finder and command line. The whole find paths vs terminal paths problems. Is anyone working on modules to integrate some of these things? -Andrew --
