Now, I understand that my question could seem very odd. This may be a very special case. I am running OS 10.3.2 with Classic environment. I am writing a script using MacPerl, because I have to use Mac::Fonts, which does not exist for OS X Perl (and I understand why: OS X font handling seems very different from Mac OS). I thought that if I could run shell scripts from within this script, that would be very handy. But I don't need that absolutely. I just wondered it that would be possible.
