perfect explanation. Or having recent rust on 10.11 MacOS, 10.6 or even PPC wouldn't be a problem.
gcc could be very promising there.
It is also a bit ridiculous to require LLVM and Rust just to build git.
indeed. Rust has a lot of other shortcomings, trying to reinvent the wheel; but not the point of this tread, I guess.
