Well, my MBPC2D was also mainly running Linux and when it started having various issues (battery, charger) etc my local Apple shop was satisfied to see that the issues were present when booting into OSX. Initally they replaced, the motherboard. It appeared to help somewhat, but a couple of days later it would not even boot up unless it was let to cool for 20+ minutes. (The hang was even before refit kicked in so it obviously was not Linux related) At that point they replaced the whole thing. The new one is a lot better. Actually, we have 14 or so MacBooks of varying models (mostly C2D) and I dare say that all of them have had some kind of hardware issue fixed (at least 5 have been completely replaced). Luckily we have the Apple shop just 3 blocks away and they are very cooperative or I guess we would have gone for something else by now. Note: Only one other of my colleagues run Linux on his MBP, but most of the others run Windows either through BootCamp or Parallels. / Jonas -- Jonas Petersson | XMS Penvision | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Box 3294, Västgötegatan 13, S-600 03 Norrköping | http://www.xms.se/ Tel: +46 11 400 13 00 | Dir: +46 11 400 13 05 | Fax: +46 11 10 30 50 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
