Of course it's not asking "WAY too much".
Don't forget: we know they won't do it anyway, so asking is really not doing
much more than signalling that we're not happy ab out the current situation.
If you send such things expecting a reaction, you're in for
a big disappointment. Most companies have a vested interest in making you
feel like asking for such things is a waste of your time. But if we pester
them enough, some of the messages will slowly make their way somewhere.
In the mean time: boycott nVidia and ATI.
