I compared the complete file Xlog.0.log from me and Michael Gangolf (who
has
it running) - but I could not find any important differences. Even the
revisions of the cards, the card's BIOS and the drivers are the same.
The only difference is I'm owing a MBP C2D and his is an MBP CD...

It must be a problem that is deeper in the system (or the ATI driver)...
I'm further investigating it!

Sven

Hi guys. Has anyone had any luck lately in getting POWERplay working on
their 15" MacBook Pro Core2 Duo? I'm running Debian Etch, kernel
2.6.18-3with the mactel patches and have the fglrx
8.28.8-4 driver installed from the non-free APT repository. When I run
``aticonfig --lsp'', it spits this out:
Error: POWERplay is not supported on your hardware.

I've noticed that a bug's been filed for this on ATI's bug tracker:
   http://ati.cchtml.com/show_bug.cgi?id=608

Cheers,
Nick
