Hi,

I've configured klaptop to suspend when I close the lid. I don't know which
arguments are used.

Anyway, I made a little test and the command "klaptop_acpi_helper --suspend"
works.

Well well well... I didn't really solve that. The facts are :

- with an unmodified ortwin's config, I had trouble with the uvcvideo module
- after I made the changes (listed below) as suggested by powertop, the
problem simply disappears

# CONFIG_IRQBALANCE is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT=y
CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND=y
CONFIG_DEBUG_KERNEL=y
CONFIG_DETECT_SOFTLOCKUP=y
CONFIG_TIMER_STATS=y
CONFIG_DEBUG_PREEMPT=y
CONFIG_FORCED_INLINING=y

I don't know if the solution is in these changes (I'm not a kernel guru...).
All I can say is : the problem has gone JUST after them.

Sorry, "blank screen" is not a correct/complete description. I had exactly the
same problem as you.

Yes without any problem. The package I use is :

---
linux-source-2.6.21 - Linux kernel source for version 2.6.21 with Debian
patches
---

'vga=773' correspond to "VESA framebuffer console @ 1024x768x256". So, yes,
you are using framebuffer. Try to :

- change vga mode to normal (vga=normal)
- rerun lilo
- reboot

... and ask some gods :)

No. Actually, since I reinstall my mbp (one week ago), I just had this problem
once after a (premeditate) battery crash. Usually, I empty my battery until
shutdown every two month (to re-calibrate it).

Cheers,

Pat.
