I like this script (acpi-power) and I use a (very) simplified version to 
handle automatically backlight intensity. But, if I remember, the rest of the 
script is not really usefull for me. It consists of :

- cpu changes &
- suspend in itself.

For the first I use "cpufreqd" and, for the second, klaptop_acpi_helper.

As I don't need to unload modules or exit Xorg before suspend, a script like 
mbps2ram is not necessary.

I hope so!

The two settings you miss are linked to CONFIG_DEBUG_KERNEL (I mean 
automatically selected) which is necessary to activate CONFIG_TIMER_STATS. If 
you don't use the same kernel as me (version, distrib,...), it is possible 
that these don't exist.

Yes and all the patches (from the mactel-linux svn repository) apply 
correctly. I don't use, at this time, the patches from linuxpowertop.org but 
I think it's a good idea.
