Now that is odd. I run a Mac Mini without a display and I simply plugged in the adapter that came with it. WOrks just great. This is an older G4 model, which should not make any difference at all, other than it is quite a bit slower. I assume you have gone through all the steps of repairing disk permissions etc? Have you ensured that any log files that may have grown beyond a reasonable size have been removed? THere are a number of things you can check. You shouldn't put up with such performance because it is not natural for the machine to behave this way. Can you point at a particular point in time or event, which might indicate when you had initially noticed the problem?
