HI James, According to Dan's post on the Mac Mini in the list archives, the dvi- to-vga adapter will not work. It's the DVI to Composite/SVGA adapter that he was able to use to fool the mini into thinking a monitor was connected. Here's Dan's post about this in the thread "DVD problem fixed":
