Well, you're doing the best thing you can to learn it, and that is to  
use it. If you're used to windows, it can be a bit different, but as  
you use it more, it will become second nature. Voice over is a great  
screen reader, and again, apple went the extra mile. They could have  
just done something quick and dirty like narrator, but instead they  
added all of the major screen reader features. In many ways, voice  
over works just as well, and many times it works better than windows  
screen readers I think.
