This has been discussed on this list before. Anne Robertson gave detailed instructions. Basically, make sure the table name is ticked in the table tab of the format inspector, navigate to cell a1 in the table, turn on mouse keys, press 8 about 30 times, press i three times quickly, turn off mouse keys and type the new table name.
