I always think it's better to learn on the latest OS as that's what will be on 
any new Mac. Things have changed quite a lot since Snow Leopard and the new 
Pages is very different from the old version. VO commands have changed and 
there are more of them. I can't remember whether Quick Nav existed back then, 
but it has also evolved since its beginnings.

Language support has improved out of all recognition which is something I 
really appreciate as I use two languages all the time.

I'm sure that Activities weren't in Snow Leopard, either.
