Actually, I think airplay has about a two second latency. I use this app
called Remote Speakers that lets me use an airplay receiver thingy I have
that connects to the 30-pin dock, and if you don't select the clear buffer
on player stop, it plays about that long after you press stop, and it takes
awhile to start when you hit play, so low delay doesn't seem like what Apple
went for at all on Airplay.

Someone was asking about a cheap usb sound card to use as a backup or
something else. Personally i have dicided to wait and see what Apple and
Dr. Dre comes up with. Headphones with lightning port. Then the sound
devices producents will make sound card with lightning port. Better noice
reduction and sound they promise.
